Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are a common and essential component of restorative dentistry. These procedures help restore the functionality and integrity of a tooth that has been damaged by tooth decay. The process involves your dental care professional carefully removing the decayed portion of your tooth, cleaning the area thoroughly, and then filling the cavity with a specially selected material. Fillings can be made from various materials—including silver amalgam or composite resin—each with its unique advantages.

A dental filling not only restores your tooth’s structure but also prevents further decay by sealing off any spaces where bacteria can enter. Regular check-ups and maintaining good oral hygiene are crucial to ensure the longevity of your fillings.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, is a specialized procedure aimed at treating the inner pulp of a tooth that has become infected or severely damaged. This could be due to deep decay, a crack in the tooth, or a traumatic injury. The procedure involves the removal of the infected or inflamed pulp, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the inside of the tooth, and then filling and sealing it with a biocompatible material.

Despite popular misconceptions, root canal therapy is generally no more uncomfortable than having a filling placed and can save your natural tooth, prevent further infection, and bring relief from dental pain.

Root Canal Retreatment

In some cases, even after a successful root canal therapy, a tooth may not heal as expected, or it may become reinfected. This could happen due to a complex canal anatomy that went undetected in the initial procedure, a delay in placing the crown post-treatment, or a new decay or crack in the tooth. Root canal retreatment is a procedure to address these issues.

During retreatment, our team will reopen the tooth, remove the original root canal filling, clean the canals, and examine the inside of the tooth using magnification and illumination to find any additional canals or unusual anatomy that requires treatment. The tooth is then refilled, sealed, and a new crown is placed. Root canal retreatment can help in preserving your natural tooth and restoring your smile.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are custom-made caps to fit over your entire tooth, providing a solution for various dental problems, like a severely decayed, cracked, or discolored tooth. They restore not only the functionality of the tooth but also its aesthetic appeal.

At our dental office, we pride ourselves on using state-of-the-art technology to provide you with the best treatment options. That’s why we utilize CEREC (chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics), a cutting-edge technology that allows us to create high-quality, custom-fit dental crowns in just one visit. The CEREC system digitally scans your tooth and crafts a precise restoration, eliminating the need for temporary crowns or return visits.

With CEREC, you can walk out of our office with a restored smile in a single day, saving you time and offering the utmost convenience. Let our dedicated team help you regain the natural beauty and functionality of your smile with CEREC dental crowns.

Tooth Extraction

At our dental office, we understand that tooth extraction can seem intimidating. However, we’re here to assure you that our team of highly skilled dental professionals prioritizes your comfort and safety at all times.

Tooth extraction is a procedure that is performed to address several oral health concerns, such as tooth decay, infection, crowding, or gum disease. We offer two types of tooth extractions: simple and surgical.

  • A simple extraction is used when a tooth can be seen above the gum line and is removed with the aid of a device called an elevator and dental forceps. The procedure is typically fast and involves minimal discomfort.
  • A surgical extraction is required when a tooth is not easily accessible because it hasn’t fully erupted or it broke off at the gum line. During a surgical extraction, the oral surgeon will make a small incision into your gum to remove the tooth. This procedure may sound more daunting, but rest assured, it is performed under local anesthesia to keep you comfortable.

Regardless of the type of extraction you may need, our team is committed to providing the highest level of care. We’ll walk you through each step of the process, provide aftercare instructions to promote rapid healing and discuss potential tooth replacement options if necessary. Our ultimate goal is to help maintain your overall oral health and keep your smile healthy.

Dental Bridges

Our dental bridges are a versatile solution to replace missing teeth. A bridge consists of one or more artificial teeth, known as pontics, held in place by dental crowns on either side of the gap. Each bridge is custom-made from durable materials that look and feel like natural teeth.

The process involves reshaping the anchor teeth, taking an impression, and sending it to a dental lab where your bridge is created. Once ready, the bridge is securely cemented into place, restoring the appearance and function of your smile.

Dentures

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They come in two varieties: full and partial.

  • Full dentures are used when all of your natural teeth are missing, and they can help restore your smile as well as your ability to eat and speak.
  • Partial dentures are used when some of your natural teeth still remain. They not only fill in the spaces created by missing teeth but also prevent other teeth from changing position.

Our experienced dental team will work with you to design and fit dentures that replicate the natural look of your teeth, giving you the confidence to smile again.
